About Kirk
Kirk Hinkleman is a facilitator, author, and Mindfulness Meditation teacher who integrates awareness-based practices into person-centered work. As the Director of Creative Design & Wellbeing at Life Works, he leads initiatives focused on burnout recovery, inner work, and sustainable transformation.
Since entering the field in 1998, Kirk has worked across various human services environments. His path has led him to the heart of systems that need change—and into conversations about how to bring humanity back into helping professions.
He co-created the Liberty Plan with Beth Gallagher, and co-authored Intentional Teaming: Shifting Organizational Culture, which explores how organizations can shift toward more compassionate, inclusive cultures.
Kirk’s Philosophy
Kirk believes that the systems around us won’t change until we shift what’s happening within us.
He teaches the importance of inner alignment as a foundation for outward impact. His work blends mindfulness, presence, and creativity to help individuals and organizations reimagine their purpose and reconnect with their values.
His mission is to awaken people to their highest future potential—starting with awareness, stillness, and heart-led action.
Leadership in Action
Kirk’s contribution to the Alliance of Change includes developing awareness-based frameworks that help teams uncover what's working, what’s missing, and what needs to evolve.
His work helps people:
- Heal from burnout
- Reconnect with their “why”
- Facilitate meaningful relationships and co-creation
Whether facilitating a group, guiding a meditation, or mentoring leaders, Kirk shows up with depth, clarity, and presence.
